CJ, Kyle Greaves Survive Heat and Chaos at ERX Opener
Elk River, Minn. ~ Scorching temperatures greeted drivers and fans on Saturday at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota, as the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road presented by Brunt Workwear completed round seven of the 2026 season. With temperatures climbing into the mid-to-upper 90s and little wind providing relief, the demanding circuit tested drivers, crews, and machines from the first green flag to the final checkered flag.
The oppressive heat only added to the intensity as competitors battled for every position with the season nearing its halfway point. Staying cool, preserving equipment, and limiting mistakes proved just as important as outright speed in a day filled with hard-fought racing and pivotal championship moments.

Greaves Survives ERX Chaos for Second Straight
A rough, rutted ERX Motor Park track turned the PRO4 finale into a battle of survival as changing track conditions, berms, broken parts and flat tires kept the outcome in doubt until the closing laps. Points leader Jimmy Henderson led the opening circuits before mechanical trouble forced him to the sidelines. CJ Greaves inherited the lead and appeared to have the race under control until Mickey Thomas reeled him in and made a decisive pass just three corners before the mandatory mid-race caution.
The lead changed hands again after the restart before Thomas suffered a flat tire one lap later, handing the top spot back to Greaves for good. From there, Greaves held off a determined charge from Cole Mamer to capture his second consecutive victory and gain valuable ground in the championship chase.
“This track is always a war,” said Greaves. “It wears you out, it’s rough. It’s tiring. As it goes, people fade. I knew to just keep a really good pace and make these guys just hang it all out and once we get to the end, we will sort it all out.
Mamer continued his every-other-race podium streak with his third podium of the season in second, while RJ Anderson made the most of his 2026 season debut, avoiding the carnage to finish third.

Greaves Strengthen Championship Push with PRO2 Win
Kyle Greaves continued to emerge as one of the hottest drivers in PRO2, delivering a commanding performance to win round seven at ERX Motor Park. After posting three podiums in the previous four races, including a victory in Antigo, Greaves quickly established himself at the front. Points leader Ryan Beat kept the pressure on in the opening laps, but a flat tire derailed his afternoon and dropped him down the order. From there, Greaves drove a flawless race, opening a comfortable advantage and cruising to his second victory of the season.
“We started on the pole and just put our head down and tried to run away,” said Greaves. “Hopefully we can come back tomorrow and do the same thing.”
The race behind the leader featured some of the best drives of the afternoon. Travis Milhausen Jr. capitalized on the late shakeup to secure the first PRO2 podium of his career with a runner-up finish, while Jacob Rosales continued his recent consistency by charging to third for his second consecutive podium.

Funk Conquers ERX, Closes In on Championship Lead
Michael Funk turned one of last season’s toughest memories into one of his biggest victories, putting a frightening 2025 crash at ERX firmly behind him with a dominant performance in round seven. Funk took control on lap three and was untouchable the rest of the way, fending off every challenge to earn his second PRO LITE victory of the season. With points leader Connor Barry running into early trouble, Funk capitalized in a big way, trimming what was a 19-point championship deficit entering the weekend.
“I was definitely hooked up out there today,” said Funk. “I didn’t feel like I was going to spin out at all. Hopefully we will carry the same speed into tomorrow.”
The battle for the remaining podium spots intensified over the second half of the race as round three winner Joey Maciosek charged forward. Maciosek worked his way past Travis Milhausen Jr. and slammed the door to secure his third podium of the season with a runner-up finish. Milhausen impressed in his return to competition after missing every round since the season opener at Wheatland, collecting his second podium of the year in third.

Van Den Elzen Capitalizes, Extends PRO SPEC Winning Streak
Defending PRO SPEC champion Wyatt Miller looked poised to regain his early-season form during round seven at ERX Motor Park. Miller jumped to the early lead and withstood pressure from Nick Visser, using strong forward drive to build a small advantage. A hard crash by Wesley Vande Voort brought out a full-course caution, however, setting up a dramatic restart. Miller launched cleanly back into the lead, but a swap entering the sandy split-lane section opened the door for the field. Chris Van Den Elzen seized the opportunity, driving from third to first by passing both Miller and Visser before taking command of the race.
Once out front, Van Den Elzen never looked back, cruising to his second consecutive victory while continuing to chip away in the championship standings.
“ERX is by far one of my favorite tracks,” said Van Den Elzen. “There is just something about the flow of it that I just love. At the beginning of the race, I thought I was done. The truck was swapping back and forth. I just kept pushing forward and ran the right lines and mix it up a little bit.”
Visser, who entered the weekend holding an 11-point lead over Van Den Elzen, held off a late charge from hometown driver Avery Hemmer to secure his second straight runner-up finish. Hemmer crossed the line just a half-second back in third, collecting her third podium of the season.

Bernloehr Rallies for PRO Buggy Victory
Jordan Bernloehr broke through for his first PRO Buggy victory of the season, but not before ending what looked to be a storybook afternoon for former class champion Mark Steinhardt during round seven at ERX Motor Park. Still searching for his footing through the opening half of the season, Steinhardt grabbed the lead from Billy Buth on lap three and looked poised for his first win and podium of 2026. Bernloehr stayed within striking distance throughout the opening laps before making the decisive pass one lap before the mandatory mid-race caution, then drove away over the second half of the race to secure the victory.
“Our team holds ourselves to a very high standard and I have made my mistakes this year and I really wanted to get this one done. It’s even better to do it in our hometown,” said Bernloehr.
Steinhardt regrouped after surrendering the lead and held off repeated pressure from Michael Meister for much of the closing laps. When Meister pulled off the track with front-end damage, Steinhardt secured the runner-up finish for his first podium of the season. Chase Gerber, making just his third start of the year, inherited third and celebrated the first podium of his career.

Bootle Holds Off Anderson in PRO SxS
Whenever Ronnie Anderson unloads at an AMSOIL Championship Off-Road event, he is immediately a contender, and his 2026 season debut at ERX Motor Park was no exception. Anderson grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag while points leader Jeb Bootle quickly gave chase. Bootle briefly took over the top spot before a full-course caution returned the lead to Anderson for the restart. Two laps later, Bootle completed the pass once again and this time made it stick, driving to his second consecutive victory and further strengthening his championship lead.
Anderson never let Bootle out of his sights, applying pressure to the checkered flag before settling for second in his season debut. The battle for the final podium spot was just as intense as Nathan Wolff charged through the field with Andrew Carlson close behind. Wolff held off Carlson by just over a half second to earn third, while Carlson crossed the line less than three-tenths of a second behind in fourth after one of the closest battles of the afternoon.

Kirchmeier Charges to Fourth Win
The championship battle in PRO STOCK SxS continued to tighten as Cross Kirchmeier, David Gay and Jeb Bootle once again found themselves at the front of a stacked field during round seven at ERX Motor Park. Gay paced the opening laps after taking the lead at the green flag, but Kirchmeier methodically worked his way forward from an eighth-place start and took over the top spot on lap seven. The points leader then had his hands full over the closing laps, holding off a relentless CJ Greaves by just .172 seconds to earn his fourth victory of the season.
Greaves slipped past Gay a few turns after Kirchmeier grabbed the lead, earning his second podium of the season and first behind the wheel of his own machine. Round six winner Jeb Bootle was also in the thick of the fight to the checkered flag, finishing just .372 seconds behind Kirchmeier in third to extend his podium streak to five consecutive rounds. Gay would cross the line in fourth.

PRO AM SXS: The winning streak continued for Cole St. Peter in Pro AM SxS as the points leader collected his fifth consecutive victory during round seven at ERX Motor Park. St. Peter worked his way around John Kummer on lap three, then held off a charging Hudson Houle over the closing laps to further extend his championship advantage.
Houle climbed from eighth on the opening lap to finish second, earning his fifth podium of the season. Kummer held off Matthew Boerschinger in the closing laps to secure third, marking his first podium finish of 2026.

PRO AM TURBO SXS: Blake Enloe stole the spotlight in Pro AM Turbo SxS, making a last-lap pass on points leader Ty Lueckemeyer to capture his first victory of the season. Lueckemeyer led nearly the entire race and appeared headed for his fifth win of the year before Enloe found a way around in the final corners, extending his own podium streak to three straight.
Enloe then held off a charging Rory Navin by just over half a second at the checkered flag. Navin’s runner-up finish marked his first podium of the season, while Lueckemeyer salvaged third for his sixth podium in seven rounds, limiting the damage in the championship standings.

SUPER STOCK TRUCK: One of the most competitive classes in AMSOIL Championship Off-Road delivered another close battle as Braden Beauchamp led every lap to earn his third Super Stock Truck victory of the season during round seven at ERX Motor Park. After picking up wins at Antigo and Crandon, Beauchamp returned to the top step of the podium with another flawless wire-to-wire performance.
Nick Byng shadowed Beauchamp from the drop of the green flag to the checkered, finishing second for his third podium of the season after opening the year with victories in the first two rounds. Ronald Kosciesza completed the podium, moving past points leader Colt Wierzba on lap eight to secure his third podium finish of 2026.

STOCK TRUCK: Points leader Dustin Rogaczewski strengthened his hold on the Stock Truck championship with his second victory in the past three rounds during round seven at ERX Motor Park. Rogaczewski took control on lap three and steadily pulled away from the field, adding another crucial win as the title battle reached the midpoint of the season.
The fight for the remaining podium spots came down to the final lap when Shaun Besson and Kirk Graff made contact, allowing Brian Peot to slip into second for his first podium since sweeping the Antigo weekend. Tyler Hoffman also capitalized on the late shuffle to finish third, extending his podium streak to three consecutive rounds.

1600 LIGHT BUGGY: Points leader Evan Hockers continued to tighten his grip on the 1600 Light Buggy championship with his sixth victory of the season. After starting seventh, Hockers charged through the field and took the lead following a mid-race restart, slipping past Jake Dischler before pulling away for another win.
Dischler briefly fell back in the closing laps but rallied to make a last-lap pass on Jake Schillman to secure second and his third podium of the season by three-tenths of a second.. Schillman’s third-place finish was his first podium of the year, helping the second-place driver in the championship standings keep pace in the title fight.

1600 SINGLE BUGGY: Connor Schulz took a big bite out of Taylor Roloff’s championship lead with his fourth win of the season in 1600 Single Buggy on Saturday. Schulz grabbed the lead on lap three and never looked back, keeping Michael Seefeldt at bay the rest of the way to strengthen his title hopes.
Seefeldt settled for second to collect his fourth podium of the year. Collin Byer made a successful return to competition after missing the previous rounds since Wheatland, passing Travis Trelstad with three laps remaining to claim third and his first podium of the season.

RACE-DRIVEN SPORTSMAN SXS: Chad Emling became the first repeat winner in Sportsman SxS this season, charging from 13th on the grid to capture his second victory of 2026 during round seven at ERX Motor Park. Emling worked past early leader Kody Krantz on lap three and never looked back, extending his podium streak to three straight races while trimming Isaac Otto’s championship lead after Otto finished fourth.
Dallas Page turned in his best performance of the season, leading early before securing his first podium with a runner-up finish. Erik Hill continued his consistent summer with his second consecutive podium, battling back into the top three multiple times before crossing the line in third.

YOUTH SXS: Jack Smith charged from ninth on the opening lap to capture his first win and first podium of the 2026 season in Youth SxS during round seven. Smith sliced through the field before taking over the lead on lap seven, completing an impressive comeback victory.
Easton Helms finished second to earn his fourth podium of the season, while round five winner William Holtger crossed the line third. The podium finish allowed Holtger to inch closer to the championship points lead heading into Sunday’s round eight.

MOD KART: Corbyn Wassenberg broke through for his first Mod Kart victory of the season Saturday, charging from seventh on the grid to the top step of the podium. Sitting third in the championship entering the weekend, Wassenberg worked his way into podium contention by lap three before slipping past Finley Holtger for the lead and holding on through a furious finish.
The battle for the win came down to the final corners, with just .318 seconds separating the top three. Points leader Lincoln Mandsager finished only .169 seconds behind Wassenberg in second, while Greyson Arneson claimed his first podium of the season with a third-place finish.

SHORT COURSE KARTS: Jarrett Meulemans added another milestone to his breakout season in Short Course Kart, charging through the field to capture his second win of the year. The round five winner took the lead with three laps remaining and held off Quinton Mocco by just .48 seconds at the finish, earning his fifth podium of the season nearly one year after claiming his first career class victory at ERX.
Mocco impressed throughout the race, leading multiple early laps before securing his first podium of the season with a runner-up finish. Liam Nickolaus also celebrated his first podium of 2026, crossing the line in third.

170 SXS: William Wolff made the most of his fifth start of the season, capturing his second victory of 2026 in 170 SxS during round seven. The round four winner took the lead from Kalvin Wagoner on lap four and pulled away to earn his third podium finish of the year.
Wagoner, who made his season debut at Crandon last month, turned in his best finish with a runner-up effort. Grace Burroughs completed the podium after moving into third with two laps remaining, then held off round six winner Jersey Kleinkamp on the final lap to secure her third podium in five starts this season.

200 SXS: The championship battle in 200 SxS continued to deliver as Gaborik Geyen claimed his third victory of the season at ERX. Entering the weekend with a one-point lead in the standings, Geyen charged from seventh on the opening lap to the lead by the end of lap two, extending his streak to seven consecutive podium finishes.
Finley Pence, who started ninth, climbed to second with two laps remaining to match Geyen with seven straight podiums. Gavin Pence completed the podium in third after starting 10th, earning his sixth consecutive podium and gaining valuable ground after entering the weekend 15 points out of the championship lead.

570 SXS: William Holtger’s perfect season rolled on in 570 SxS as the points leader captured his seventh consecutive victory to open up the year. Locked in a tight battle throughout the race, Holtger made the winning pass on Alexander Walraven on the final lap to keep his unbeaten streak intact.
