How do I register to race?

How do I get a pit spot?

Visit each of our event tabs for contact information for each individual track. All tracks take care of their own parking/pit spot/camping.

As a racer do I have to pay for admission?

As a racer do I have to pay for admission? 
No, you do not need to purchase an admission band at the gate if you are registered to race. Your Annual Racer Membership & Race Entries is your “admission.”

Who needs USAC insurance?

  • Racers: You will need to purchase an annual license with USAC.
  • Spotters: You will be checked for Crew USAC at every event, need to sign a waiver & be given a spotters wristband to be allowed in the spotters tower. There are single event and annual, year-long licenses available.
  • Hot Pit Crew: If you are ON TRACK at any point during the weekend, you will need a crew USAC License as well.

Can I change my back up driver?’

  • No, you must choose your back up driver(s) prior to your first event. Please make sure your back up driver(s) have the following criteria:
    • In the same race division as you (Race divisions are: Sportsman or Pro)
    • Are able to be in attendance at the events you plan on running
    • If you are utilizing a back up driver, please let a Champ Off-Road official know, make sure they hold a Champ Off-Road Racer Membership & also have a USAC License
    • Please contact megan@isocracing.com if you need to update your back up drive prior to the first race of the season

How do line ups work?

Sportsman – based off of Championship points & a 10 invert across the board for all classes
Pro – Saturday’s line up is based off of fast lap from qualifying the previous day with an invert (driver with the fastest lap pulls for the invert). Sunday’s line up is based off of your fast lap from the previous race day with an invert (fastest lap pulls pill). Top qualifier: 5 extra points, 2nd fastest: 2 points, 3rd fastest: 1 point. Those extra points are added into the following race day.

How long do your events run?

A typical race day will be started in the morning with our amateur classes, and the Professional classes being ran into the later evenings. Please refer to event page to see full daily schedule.

When do I need to register by?

Late fees begin Monday at 8AM of race week ($100 per class per day), registration will officially close at 3PM on Thursday of race week.

How do I get payout?

If you are racing in a payout class, (please see the payout page under the racers dropdown > payouts) you must make sure you have a W9 on file with Champ Off-Road. If you have an address or team change, please fill out a new W9 and send it in.

How do I know if my race # is available?

While creating your profile, (or changing your profile for existing racers) if the website lets you complete your racer profile without giving you a red error in the “Bib Request 1” field, you are good to go with your selected number. Please make sure you have your current race class on your profile as well as any secondary class(es) you race.

Do I need a transponder? Where can I purchase one? What kind?

Every class is required to run a transponder (make sure you have it placed in the correct spot on your race vehicle. See rule book).

Champ Off-Road runs the MX version Transponders. (Older version of these are all orange, the new version are black & orange. The X2 MX transponders work as well)
