Champ Off-Road Announces 2027 Schedule, Continues Westward Expansion
AMSOIL Championship Off-Road presented by Brunt Workwear is carrying the excitement of a successful 2026 season—one that saw every pro-level championship decided at the season finale—into continued westward expansion in 2027. After delivering more than $650,000 in prize fund payouts to racers last season, the series is building on its promise to bring short-course, off-road racing across the American racing landscape, connecting its celebrated Midwest venues with a return to Southern California and a planned Arizona finale.
“We’re excited about the momentum behind this sport and where we’re taking it in 2027,” said Carl Schubitzke. “Our Midwest tracks and fans are the foundation of Champ Off-Road. Continuing our westward expansion builds on that foundation, brings our racing to new audiences and creates more opportunities for our racers and partners.”
The 2027 season opens May 7–9 in Wheatland, Missouri, launching a summer of high-speed, door-to-door racing at some of short-course racing’s most celebrated venues.
Antigo follows June 4–6 before the series makes its first visit to Crandon June 18–20. The championship battle moves to Elk River July 22–24 and Bark River August 13–15, then returns to Crandon September 3–4 for its signature Labor Day weekend event.
From there, Championship Off-Road heads west, returning to Glen Helen in Southern California October 8–9 before its planned expansion into Arizona. Series officials are working with two potential Arizona venues to finalize the location and date. October 22–23 is the tentative window, with details to be announced once arrangements are complete.

“Arizona has a strong off-road community, and it’s an exciting next step in growing our western presence,” said Schubitzke. “We’re working through two venue options and finalizing the date, but we wanted to share the schedule now so our teams, fans and partners can begin planning.”
The 2027 schedule also brings a difficult departure. Dirt City in Lena, Wisconsin, will no longer host the series following the sale of the land on which the track operated.
“Dirt City became a special stop because of the people behind it,” said Schubitzke. “They put their heart into that facility and our sport. We’re grateful to the organizers, volunteers and fans who made it such a memorable part of Champ Off-Road.”
