Yokohama Returns to Sponsor for the Third Consecutive Season

For the third consecutive year, Yokohama returns as a sponsor for the 2023 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Season. The AMSOIL Championship Off-Road series continues to build upon its success and popularity by expanding for the 2023 season.

Team Yokohama is bringing some premier names to the series including: Andrew Carlson, Kyle Chaney, Ricky Gutierrez, Johnny Holtger, Scottie Lawrence, and Cole Mamer.  Yokohama Sr. Manager – Events, Partnerships & Sponsorships, Candace Cogan announced, “We have a stacked roster of Pro drivers this year, welcoming young guns Cole Mamer and Ricky Gutierrez to Team Yokohama who will compete alongside returning athletes Andrew Carlson, Kyle Chaney, Johnny Holtger, Scottie Lawrence and Tanner Foust who will run a Pro2 at the Crandon Labor Day Weekend event. We feel we have all the right players in the right places and are looking forward to the season kicking off in Antigo!”.

Yokohama isn’t just sponsoring the series and top-tier racers, they are showing their continued support for amateur racing with the 2023 Yokohama Hard Charger series. Racers of all skill levels are invited to compete for the Yokohama Hard Charger Belt, an enticing prize pack, and undisputed bragging rights in the 170/200 SxS Class.  “We are excited to be back with Champ Off-Road for a 3rd consecutive season. Short course racing is a staple in the off-road community, with many big names getting their start racing at the popular Midwest tracks. The 170/200 SXS is where it all begins, so when Champ asked if we wanted to keep the Hard Charger Award going, it was a no-brainer for us. We are building on what we have been doing with the belt over the last few years, adding in metallic stickers that the kids will collect on their karts every time they win the award. What kid doesn’t love something to show off to their friends?” added Cogan.

This is the third consecutive year the season Yokohama returns to the series and  will be active and displaying at select AMSOIL Championship Off-Road events this season. The season kicks  at a sold-out venue in Antigo, Wis.

After that, the series continues on June 24-25 for the first of two trips to Crandon International Raceway in Crandon, Wis. Then, racers will head to ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minn. for the mid-summer weekend of July 14-15.

On July 29-30, the world’s top off-road racers will continue the 2023 championship competition at the Dirt City Motorplex in Lena, Wis. On the weekend of August 12-13, the series heads to the Bark River International Raceway located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

In the past, Crandon played host to the season finale. This year, Labor Day Weekend at Crandon is still happening but it is no longer the season finale. The event will showcase short-course racing, including the final rounds of Sportsman racing and two days of Champ Off-Road competition on September 2-3.

Racing fans and enthusiasts are excited for the expansion of the 2023 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Season with one more race weekend compared to last year’s event. For the first time in event history, the series heads to Jay, Okla. on September 23-24 for a grand finale weekend at the 1,600-acre MidAmerica Outdoors grounds.

The season finale weekend merges the six Pro level classes with MAO’s full slate of racing. Both the venue and series are working together to bring an additional $50,000 purse to the 2023 series finale event. The weekend of competition and fun will conclude with the Champ Off-Road Pro Banquet.

The 2023 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road series will continue to be live streamed through its partnership with FloRacing. Please stay tuned for 2023 viewership information.
